Enclosure 110.2
9
ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS,
Hong Kong..20th..September.1929.
REPORT ON ORDINANCE No...... 14.
........of 1929.
1.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance. intituled an
Ordinance to amend the law relating to accessories to and
abettors of indictable offences, and I am of opinion that
the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's instructions.
2.
Sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 of this Ordinance are
re-enactments of sections 2 to 5 inclusive and section 8 of
Ordinance No. 3 of 1865, except that in each of these
sections the words "Act or" are inserted before the word
Ordinance. This amendment is important for such cases
as that of piracy with acts endangering life, which is made
a felony by 7 William IV and I Vict. c. 88.
3. As attainder has been abolished (see section 70 of
Ordinance No. 9 of 1899), section 6 of Ordinance No. 3 of
1865 has not been re-enacted.
